The Fundo spiral shower kit consists of nine elements: the walk in shower base incorporating the drain unit, and the eight part curved partition.
The base is available with either a horizontal or vertical drain, and in left hand or right hand entrance options. The installation procedure is the same as for standard Fundo units.
The base unit has a pre-formed slot on the outer edge to receive the wall sections. All that's required is to coat the recess with PU or a hybrid sealing compound. The eight wall sections are then bonded into the slot. The wall sections themselves are each tongue and groove jointed, and are joined with self-adhesive reinforcement tape.
When the wall sections have been installed in the pre-formed slot in the base unit. PU or hybrid sealing compound is applied on the interior joint between the wall and floor.
The threshold between the base unit and the adjacent floor at the entrance is sealed with wedi waterproof tape fixed in a cement based tile adhesive. The unit can then be tiled with a maximum format 5 x 5cm ceramic or stone tile.
