TOP INDUSTRY RECOGNITION FOR CARDIFF-BASED BATHROOM SHOWROOM
Lesley Taylor-Bottomley from Cardiff-based interior design specialist company, Taylors Etc has received national recognition from the bathroom and kitchen industry as a finalist in the prestigious kbbreview Industry Awards 2007. Lesley fought off fierce competition from other entrants to make the final four who now remain to compete for the highest accolade in the sector, the Showroom Award for Bathrooms, sponsored by Lucite International.
All finalists will attend a glittering awards ceremony hosted by a special celebrity guest at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 5 February 2007, where the winners will be announced.
The annual kbbreview Industry Awards, now in its 13th year and organised for the second time by leading industry magazine, kbbreview, recognise design and business excellence in the bathroom and kitchen industry. The 2007 Awards were the most hotly contested in the scheme’s history, with a record-breaking number of entrants competing for the top prizes across 14 industry categories. A distinguished judging panel, comprising independent experts and many of the most respected figures in the industry under the Chairmanship of Andrew Davies, editor of the leading publication, kbbreview, scrutinised all the entries and deliberated for two days before announcing the finalist short-list.
“The standard of entries for the 2007 Awards was extremely high, with many of the categories the closest I’ve ever seen them” said Andrew Davies. Judge, Ann Broad, a visual marketing consultant, added, “Taylor’s showroom in Cardiff is fantastic and really up to date. The lighting is good and it’s been professionally done. They’ve made an uninteresting building look fantastic – it’s head and shoulders above the rest. If you’ve looking for showrooms to inspire, Taylors’ is the standard.”
Lesley Taylor-Bottomley said, "I am delighted that our showroom has been recognised in this way. Our team is very focused on ensuring that Taylors Etc’ customers have the very best experience, and the showroom has been designed to offer a friendly yet inspirational environment.”
“To be short-listed as a finalist is very exciting and it makes all the hard work worth while. However wining such a prestigious award would be wonderful - it would reassure us all that our South Wales-based business is setting very high standards indeed. Our fingers are all well and truly crossed!"
